Short and Sweet:

This USB Flash/Thumb drive is excellent, has a huge capacity and a solid, USB 2.0 transfer rate.

My only exception is that it comes with a so-called vault app, created to protect and add a level of security. But it also adds a level of interference, in that it slows down and complicates access of data.

I simply bypassed it and use this device to copy or move data to it, for both backup protection and archival purposes.

The four USB Cruzers were bought to put family photos on to give to siblings. We lost both our parents year end of 2012. We received all of their lifetime family photos and wanted to share them with my four brothers and sisters. This meant learning to save them onto USB sticks. I will be able to give these to them the end of June when we all get together.

The Cruzer Glide comes with software to create an encrypted vault on the drive and a reasonable amount of free cloud storage to allow you to access this from anywhere.
Switching between windows 8 and windows 7 laptops is no problem and software installs on both (a newer version is available for windows 8)
The lock to keep the USB interface inside the stick works great as I Cary this memory stick with me all the time.
I have used it to run presentations directly of the memory stick and this Cruzer is as fast as any ISB 2 device I have seen.
The only con is that the large size about 60 GB usable space makes you forget that it is a 32 bit file system and consequently you are limited with the maximum file size (it took me a while to figure out why my laptop indicated that there was insufficient space available to copy a 20GB file while I had 50GB space available)

I highly recommended item that will ensure you don't run out of space.
For those with a 64GB Surface or Dell Latitude 10, it almost quadruples your disk space without a huge performance dip.

Easily accepted NTFS format. 64GB is the largest drive I have purchased to date, and I use it to temporarily backup a users drive when I work on the drive. It accepted all files.
