40 lbs.-per-square-inch tensile strength
2.95 mil thickness

Seal boxes and packages securely with this high-performance packaging tape from Scotch. The 1.88-inch width completely covers seams between panels on shipping boxes or cardboard containers.

Easy to Unwind
This tape is easy to unwind from the roll and instantly adheres to your box or package without twisting or bunching. The tape glides off the dispenser smoothly, so there's less noise as you unwind it.

Secure Sealing
This tape has a tensile strength of 40 pounds per square inch, so you can rely on it even for overstuffed boxes. At 2.95 millimeters thick, it won't accidentally tear during storage or transport.

Seal Multiple Packages

I was surprised when I used this for the first time. It rolled off the spool so easily. The metal edge made it tear so easily. There was no comparison to the old roll that I used. It used to stick to itself after you tore a piece off and was difficult to use. This new product pulled so easliy and it was easy to tear off any length of piece. Previously preparing packages for mailing was a chore but this new tape made the job so easy that I will no longer dread getting a package ready to ship. Could not recommend it more strongly.

It does seem to start more easily than the regular tape... but, it would've been easier for them to just make a dispenser that prevented the tape from coming off the "holder" part and sticking back on the roll.
This seems like it won't hold as well... peels off the roll like saran wrap does (I like the satisfying rip-rip sound of unrolling regular packing tape), and doesn't seem like it'll stick any better. To be fair, I haven't had it un-stick (just using it on cardboard boxes), but it feels like the adhesive is poor, even though the tape itself is sturdier.
I'll stick with the plain old (cheaper) packing tape from now on.

I have a small online business and this is the best tape I have found. I always had problems getting the standard shipping tapes to start. They would drive me crazy!! Now I tape up a box in seconds.

Just purchased, but used it yesterday. It was easy to apply and te adhesion seems to be great. It has not been long enough to rate the durability and longevity. So far, so good.
