Sentry safes are a nightmare

The sentry safe was absolutely the worst product I have ever purchased [...] I have since seen other reviews on this company that would make me want to stay away from them altogether regardless of the specific model.This nightmare safe not only has the batteries inside so if they fail you cannot replace them, it is also so poorly built that I am sure the flimsy plastic battery cover fell off twice and the batteries got dislodged. Ergo - safe won't open and contents inaccessible.It cost me hundreds of dollars to retrieve my valuable documents. You'd think the company would at least have the grace to respond and apologize. E-mail to customer service and two separate delivery confirmed letters one to the CEO and one to the legal department went completely unanswered.It's really disgraceful! Ended up costing me hundreds of dollars what with buying it, installing it, getting a locksmith to break it open (twice, before I chucked the whole thing). Never encountered a worst company and hope I never will.

The screws and wall anchors that come with the safe are pretty small considering they are supposed to help your safe (filled with your valueable) stay attatched to the wall in case of a break in or attempted theft... i went to the local hardware store and bought 2 heave duty anchors for about $1 and that fixed that problem. Having the extra keys incase you forget your code is nice, but where are you supposed to keep them where someone who's breaking into your place wont see them? i suggest just remembering your passcode and keeping the keys out of the house. Other than those 2 issues, great product for the money you spend on it. It fits my laptop and jewelry, and pretty much anything else small i would want to put in it.

Instructions did not show where the key went. Spent a lot of time looking for key spot. Please show on instructions to make it more user friendly.
