I can't remember how many times I've seen people's names painted on office supplies like staplers and tape dispensers (and it's all actually company property to begin with) with nail polish so that the items don't "walk away from" their desks. The worst thing I've seen lately is owners' (users') names painted on new office chairs with white liquid correction fluid. Needless to say, it all looks messy and poorly executed. I bought these white oil-based markers to write my name on supplies I actually bought (at Staples) and brought in to use at work. I don't mark up anything that's not mine (with the exception of the new chair, as these have been found to travel when empty), but what I do write on comes out much better than nail polish and white correction fluid. It's also more permanent than paper or sticky labels--even the plastic ones that can be made with a label maker (which no one seems to use in offices, but these are also on sale at Staples). I was nice enough to let my co-workers use it to write their names on the backs or legs of their new black chairs, as well (which were purchased at Staples, as well, it seems). Only the one who could not wait for me to lend her the marker glopped up the legs of the chair base with white correction fluid. Looks worse than the worst graffiti! I even marked one chair with someone else's name in error. I panicked, thinking, it was permanent. It might have been, had it dried, but I was able to wipe it clean with rubbing alcohol immediately. Not a trace... (This was the chair that had someone's name in correction fluid on the legs of the base already.) They're made by Sharpie, and they handle like regular felt-tip markers, but you have to shake them up for a little while and keep pumping the tip up and down on a writing surface. They come in white and all metallics such as gold, silver, and copper, and I highly recommend getting every one.

This product is a waste of money. I bought it to label dark clothing for a family member who is living in a nursing home and I needed to put his name on black socks and pants. The white ink should have been labeled as invisible ink. It just got absorbed into the cloth and barely wrote on cardboard. Useless product and there were two in a package.

Good marker

Comments about Sharpie Paint Oil Based Marker, Medium, White, 2/Pack:

Good marker. Sticks to painted metal, Naugahyde, and pvc plastics. A little effort required to get it primed, and periodically recharge the tip. I use these regularly.

Comments about Sharpie Paint Oil Based Marker, Medium, White, 2/Pack:

I haven't actually used it yet but it is exactly what I've been looking for and hoping to find. I'm looking forward to trying it out this spring. I paint terra cotta pots and I wanted something I could outline stars with. This looks like this will fill that need perfectly. The tip is not sooo fine that I will have trouble staying in side the form and yet not so large that the definitions of the form will be lost. I love the fact that it is a paint marker. I am sure I will be able to find many other uses for it. I looked ain all the craft stores for a white sharpie but was only able to find it at Staples.

Great for marking black binders

Comments about Sharpie Paint Oil Based Marker, Medium, White, 2/Pack:

These are great for marking the sides of the black plastic binders that we use in our office. The white stands out clearly so it makes it easy to identify the project name. The markers take a little priming (by lightly tapping on to a piece of scratch paper) and once the paint flows, it makes clear, clean lines. They come in different tip widths (from fine to wide). My first marker that I had lasted for over a year (with steady use). I store them tip down, and that seems to help keep the tip moister for easier priming when I need to use it next. All in all, these work great on just about anything that you need to label, and come in an array of colors. Great product!

Comments about Sharpie Paint Oil Based Marker, Medium, White, 2/Pack:

I bought this item for a craft project. I had previously bought other markers for the same project from a location and they did not work near a well as these. I would buy these again in a heart beat. There was no running like happened with the other brand. A definite 5 star!
