I bought these to organize my grocery/pharmacy receipts from different stores. When I come home, I often don't have time to enter these expenses into my spreadsheet of expenses that day or the day after that or the day after that. Yet I shop almost every day. Thus the pile of receipts gets higher, clutters my desk and is at risk of being blown any which way. This way, I can keep them all in one see-through pouch that hardly takes up any space at all until I can get them entered and disposed. I purchased a different color for each of the major shops I frequent. The clear plastic reminds me of what's in it as opposed to simply stuffing them into an opaque manila folder labeled "To Do". I will never get to them that way. Also, if I receive poor customer service at a store, I refer to the receipt for information about my visit, store manager name and location, and the amount I spent. I then send a letter of my experience with a copy of the receipt.Having the store see with their own eyes just how much money I spend in their business serves to jolt them to attention as opposed to simply stating, "I have spent x amount of dollars in your establishment over the (weeks/months/years, etc..." You don't have to keep the receipts once you're done entering them. I just do it because I'm a huge letter-writer. Believe me-it works. These pouches are great for everyday organization that can quickly spiral out of control if not given attention. Great purchase for little money!
