      Please note that this storage cabinet accepts letter and legal size files, I am sorry for the manufacture does not have an approximation of how many files the cabinet can hold. Mainly because this feature is depending on the thickness of the files used. I can only advise you of the exterior dimensions of the unit: 18.625"D x 42"W x 52.5"H.       With four drawers that are 40 inches wide this cabinet can hold thousands of files. Although if you purchase it and realize that it is not large enough for you, you can return it in it's original condition with a receipt.
