    This magnet works great on a widespread,solid metal surface like a refrigerator. I was using it for a homework station on a 1" metal bar, so there was not as much surface to stick to. For this reason, I had to watch the amount of weight I placed on the hook, or it would slide.

    Bought to hold up a 4 x 3 fabric pocket chart. The magnets work better on bare metal, but not as well on the enameled dry-erase boards or the coated metal window frames in my classroom. Can hold up a few keys, or several clipped papers.
