Staples business cards: Excellent Value

I have found Staples various business card stocks, including matte & glossy, to be excellent values, with quality equal to more expensive brand names. I have been using them for 5 or 6 years and am fully satisfied with the products. I am a digital artist know as "Grandpa Moses of the Cyber Age" and I often incorporate samples of my work on my business cards (samples included with review). So it is important that images reproduce well on the cards.

I bought the do-it-yourself card stock so that I could experiment with card designs and wording before ordering commercial cards. The stock is good for that purpose but falls short of having a professional appearance...Read complete review

I am a huge fan of Stapes brand products for two reasons, price and value. This is the first time I've come across a Staples brand product that is totally inferior to the brand name counterpart. Maybe I got a bad pack of the Staples matte white laser business cards (item #677797) but the perforations on these cards are so bad that when you separate them from the sheet they leave a raised border all the way around - Making it look like you cut the card out with scissors. Stick with Staples brand products, but spend your hard earned money on a brand name when it comes to business cards.

In side-by-side comparison the Staples brand business card stock looks cheap compared to Avery. In the future, I'd pay the extra money for Avery.

We used them in an industrial laser printer/copier. These jamed from te first. Ripped when we tried to remove them. No matter what we tried we just wasted our time.

The perforations are fair and a jagged edge results even when the cards are folded back and forth along perforations. Avery has this down a bit better. Please improve your product Staples!

I normally use the Avery 8871 Clean Edge Business Cards but picked these up one day when I couldn't get them. The stock of these cards is SO THIN compared to the Avery. It's almost like a regular printer paper stock. If that weren't bad enough, the perforations once you seperate the cards are huge and very visible. I'll keep these cards only as a back up. Otherwise I'm sticking with Avery.
