The bottom stack of paper sticks on the top side of the silicon feet which are placed on the bottom of the wire grid that holds the paper. It would be much better to have these feet elsewhere, i.e. off to the sides. The bottom half inch of the paper is worthless because of the dents caused by these four feet. There is plent of room for them to be placed off to the sides on the bottom out of the way. Otherwise, I am very happy with this paper organizer. I got tired of always struggling with the various paper types and colors when I wanted to add paper to my printer.

Staples Metal Incline Desktop FileSorter
Each unit was missing 1 or 2 rubber tips on the bottom.
Without these the item is not stable and scrapes the surface on which it sits.

Comments about Staples® Metal Incline Desktop File Sorter, 8 Compartments, Black:
I have many different folder organizers from stacked trays to other stand-up types. Although this is not an attractive design, it is by far the most useful. The slanted design allows you to see every tab of every folder regardless of which row it is in. It is sturdy. It doesn't slide on the desk due to the rubber feet. The wire design also allows you to see the sides of the folders which may be important to some people. The slots are close enough together that there is slight pressure on most full folders which prevents the folders from falling out when you decide to move the organizer.

This file sorter is sturdy and keeps the folders upright. The incline is steep. So, you can see all 8 folders clearly. or if you use multi tab folders than you can fit 3 in each spot as long as the files are not very thick. I have purchase others but either they didn't have enough slots or it wasn't steep enough to see all of them or the first folder would fold over. I would purchase it again. I bought 2. One for me and one for my boss. My boss tried to take mine!!
