I have used binding spines for years making calendars for family members. I used 1/4" until this year and the 3/8" seems to hold the 13 pages much nicer. (12 sheets regular paper one picture on card stock)

These binding combs do the job and help me stay organized - or at least help me appear to be organized! I mainly use these combs to put together booklets for temporary work use. They make it possible to rearrange the pages if necessary, and provide a professional look to
Bought the binding clips to make children's journals for a church project. You really have to adhere to the page limit because we noticed that the closer you approached the 55 page limit the easier it was for the combs to unhook. We never filled the clips to capacity, maybe only 30 sheets, even that was pushing effectiveness. Overall, good for lightweight 10-20 page projects/presentations.
