I bought 8 of these to organize my home-office for my business at another location. The reason I bought these is I wanted an attractive 'look' since it's in my home, and I wanted my organization desk-top, not on the floor (or I'd have bought metal file cabinets). They are a suitable weight to be on the counter (with proper support, of course, below). I was disappointed, though, in the color. They were advertised as white but are from from it. They're a light putty or gray color. SO, since they're in my home, it is disappointing that they were not properly described in the product description. I kept them simply because I had no more time to wait for replacements to arrive. They do what I want them to do, so I can't complain about that. They seem sturdy and functional thus far. [...] With all the concerns, it's still far better than the local [...] had to offer, for the same price. I will order from Staples anytime rather than go into that awful [...] store.

This product is OK for what I needed it for I would rather have a metal file cabinet. I did see one but the store didn't have one in stock, so we went on line to order it and it didn't offer the sale price. That was on the file cabinet in the store. So then I went for second best file drawer.

We have a one bedroom apartment in the city and my husbands' home office is in one corner of our bedroom. The filing cabinets are attractive enough to be in the bedroom and not make it feel like an office. He has two stacked next to his side of the bed. They work well for files and as a night stand. The others are in different configurations of two or three (we've collected them as he's needed more filing space). The cream and gray blends into the rooms decor well.
