I considered purchasing the Vaultz Locking Mobile Wheelie Chest in 2013 to use during my travel season, which is from February thru November of each year. I travel with trade show materials, which is about 90lbs total, so I needed two cases that could endure the luggage check-in and handling process from my original departure, to layovers, and then to my final destination, and then to do it all over again when I travel home. Oh yeah, I do this about 16 times a year. In 2013 I purchased two Staples Expanding Folding Crate on Wheels – item number 440122. This was a mistake because the cases did not last my initial flight from DCA to MYR. I went to Staples while I was in South Carolina, and Staples replaced them. I tried to use them again during my return flight to DC, and they returned to me in pieces on the baggage claim carousel. I gave up and just purchased a small carry-on luggage bag, but it was impractical to use because it was not sturdy enough and could not accommodate my materials.

Well, fast forward to March 2014, and I decided to give the Vaultz Locking Mobile Wheelie Chest a try. I purchased two, and packed them with my trade show materials, and I was impressed that everything fit nicely, and they had the sturdy feel I needed, so I was pretty confident that this item would do the job. I also fix a full sheet adhesive label reading "Fragile…", hoping this would help ensure the airport luggage personnel would handle with care; my flight was from DCA to MCO. When I arrived to Orlando, specifically the baggage claim carousel, I was greeted by chests that were 95% intact. I was impressed, but a little nervous to use them during my return flight, knowing I needed to also use them transporting my materials to the trade show floor at the Orlando International Convention Center. The chests held up well during my daily (3 days) use, and also held up well during my return flight home to DCA from MCO where they again greeted me at the baggage claim carousel 95% intact. The 5% damage the chests sustained during both legs of travel to and from DCA to MCO, and then MCO to DCA, was wood supports at the front of the chests lids that could not sustain the handling from the luggage personnel at the airport. Although I plastered the chests with fragile labels, I am not oblivious to the fact that they will stack heaver items on the chests when sorting luggage and other items in the planes' storage compartment. However, I am impressed that they still held up as well as they did. My guess is that I will get maybe two more [to and from] trips out of these chests, but it if there lids were better reinforced I have no doubt that they would last through my entire travel season, which is very demanding even on my personal luggage which I typically to have to replace every three years.

I bought 2 of these mobile locking file chests in late June but did not use one of them until less than 2 months later. On the first use, as I was lifting the cart into the trunk of the car (I had not put anything heavy in it), one of the handles broke off and cannot be fixed. I called Staples to see if I could get a replacement as I was just using it for the first time and it was obviously defective, and was told that it was too late and there was no warranty. It is alot of money for something that couldn't even be used one time.

I love my buggie but if it would last longer. It usually lasts about 6 to 9 months if used daily. I have purchased four already.

I am very happy with chest that I purchased. I am an attorney and when I have a large file for a hearing, I am a bit more organized to have my own little filing cabinet on wheels. I can transport and find what I need with ease.

This is the best file cabinet if you are on the road. The extra security of the locks makes it perfect for hippa type work
