Cheap plastic housing melted in socket

One of our nurses (Our nurses use laptops for electronic charting) couldn't get this to stay in the charging socket so she pulled it out and brought it to me...the whole top ...Read complete review

One of our nurses (Our nurses use laptops for electronic charting) couldn't get this to stay in the charging socket so she pulled it out and brought it to me...the whole top of the plastic housing that encloses the contact has slid sideways caused by what appears the plastic melting in the heat.

I purchased these because I thought with the price that they were a good deal. I would advise against purchasing this device.

Sometimes loses connection with DC port and it takes 10 minutes to get it working again, but each of us has a phone with different chargers so its handy we can use it with any charger.

Seems to work well and is less expensive than others offered at Staples (saw others for $59.99 that seem to have the same functionality.

Little awkward to get into cigarette lighter do to it;s one piece design.
