Cheap plastic housing melted in socket

One of our nurses (Our nurses use laptops for electronic charting) couldn't get this to stay in the charging socket so she pulled it out and brought it to me...the whole top ...Read complete review

One of our nurses (Our nurses use laptops for electronic charting) couldn't get this to stay in the charging socket so she pulled it out and brought it to me...the whole top of the plastic housing that encloses the contact has slid sideways caused by what appears the plastic melting in the heat.

I purchased these because I thought with the price that they were a good deal. I would advise against purchasing this device.

    i was actually looking for the 400 watt inverter i had "loaned" to my son. as is the case with this type of loan, it soon became his. so i went looking for the same one and bought this inverter, instead. it is smaller, more compact and easy to use. plug it in and it does the job. useful when you need a fast recharge of camera batteries and the like when you are on the road.

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

    Buyer beware! This power inverter only supports 75 watts, which is apparently not enough for a normal laptop. It burned out after 15 minutes of use in the car.

            Sometimes loses connection with DC port and it takes 10 minutes to get it working again, but each of us has a phone with different chargers so its handy we can use it with any charger.

                A:

                This is a 75 watt power inverter. Unless the hair dryer uses less than 75 watts, you cannot use the hair dryer with the power inverter. Hair dryers tend to use a lot of wattage so the answer is almost definitely no.

                It depends on the laptop, but probably not, as it is not to be used with devices over 75 watts. Check the wattage of the laptop to be sure.
