I AM RUNNING VOICE OVER IP TELEPHONE'S. BY USING THIS SWITCH YOU DO NOT HAVE TO USE A POWER CORD TO SUPPY ELECTRICITY....THE POE SWITCH DOES IT FOR YOU...EXCELLENT PRODUCT, WAIT TILL IT DOES ON SALE THOUGH. I NEEDED IT ASAP SO $100 WAS OK

Didn't work
refused to even light up. I would guess it's been dead a while and they keep returning it to the shelf.

Just what the subnet needed
This device drives the wireless access points on my IOT subnet. In a business environment this would not be the way to go, but for home use the switch is perfect. Plus it comes with rack-mounting hardware, which makes for cleaner installation and maintenance.

Power Over Ethernet! Great upgrade
I had a 5-port Netgear servicing a TIVO, Blu-ray, and my wife's laptop. I added a security camera to the mix, and instead of using a power injector, I now use this switch! And it is upgradeable via larger power supply so I could change to a PTZ camera in the future.

Not reliable for POE+
I bought this switch specifically to power a POE+ device (new) at 300 feet from the switch. This switch, although rated for POE+, could not sufficiently power the device, but by eliminating the switch entirely and coupling the circuit through to the next switch upstream (about 500 cable-feet from the field device, far outside POE+ specs) I was able to power the device j...

Great POE device
