The only one I use!
I'm a pro painter that uses the blue and green everyday. If you're looking for a masking tape that creates great lines and peels ups easily... This is your tape. One tip I teach my guys is to give it a press before your start painting to make sure you have a good seal and then lightly paint the first coat to seal the seam. It's the only tape I use and trust!

Pulled paint off when removed
I used this tape on steps. I painted first the back of steps. Waited a few days taped off prior to staking. Once stringing was done removed tale and pulled off chunks of paint.

Hi there - we are sorry to hear this. Unfortunately, it sounds like the paint did not get a chance to fully cure before applying the tape. It can take up to 30 days for the paint to fully cure.

DO NOT recommend - peels paint
We used this tape to tape off the wall around our cabinets to stain cabinets. When taking the tape off, it peeled off huge chunks of paint. Which has left me to have to go back and repaint all of the wall beside the cabinets. I am extremely dissatisfied with this product, and would NOT recommend this tape to anyone. I painted the kitchen with fresh paint before cabinets...

We are sorry to see this, and understand how frustrating it can be. Unfortunately, this tape is not meant to be used on finished wood like cabinetry. We would recommend our Delicate Surface FrogTape for surfaces with finished wood.

Frog Tape vs. Blue Painters Tape
I was told that Frog Tape was no better than blue painters tape. I bought some and compared them myself. In my opinion, the Frog Tape is the real deal. It performed exactly as advertised. Good stuff.

Still great after 20+ years
I bought the package of Frog tape when I purchased my house in 1998. We've decided to put the house on the market so a fresh coat of paint is a must. No paint on the hard wood floors where we used the frogtape. Where we used the " blue stuff", we spent hours cleaning off the smear.
Thank you!
Thank you!

tape disaster
I taped out seven windows and four doorways to finish painting with semi-gloss. When I finished the first one I peeled the tape off carefully but it tore off the paint and paper face of the drywall underneath. So I removed the other taped areas to find the same damage.I will lose a days work and pay because of your badly advertised product. I would sue you but it would ...

Expensive
I have used competitive products and wanted better. Premium Frog Tape promised superior results. My experience was the products did not perform better in fact it may have been no better at all. I had done the same job with a competitive product at half the price and got at least as good results.

Tape pulled the paint off
Was repainting my whole main floor including the baseboards & window and door frames. Waited a few weeks after I painted the walls to use the tape to paint baseboards & moldings so make sure I could get that crisp line. Put the tape on the walls carefully, painted moldings and when I took the tape off - I'm now repainting the edges of the walls where the tape was. Not ...

Absolutely worst tape I have ever used, I thought it the other day to pain my house and I thought man this stuff looks good and nope absolutely not paint bled through the tape and then it wouldn’t stick to my trim and yes I washed my the trim of any dirt and dust, I highly recommend staying away from this tape and stick
With the blue tape because this stuff is awful

Sucks!!
I decided to try this tape because of the reviews, that was a mistake, it took me longer to take off then to put on and it pealed off most of the paint that it was close to. Now I have to paint the trim again because of this crappy tape. Should have stuck with the best tape…Scotch Blue tape. This tape should be taken off the market!

Used to be good
Frogtape for Delicate Surfaces used to my do to tape when I wanted to insure a good straight paint line. Recently the taper does not stick to baseboard like it used to and paint leaks through creating more work. Shame someone had to change this product.

Other uses
I work at a daycare. We use Frog Tape for many uses. It’s great for labeling things. Doesn’t leave a residue. Easy to write on. The kids use it with crafts. It’s easy for little fingers to use. It’s light weight. We go through a lot of Frog Tape. Love it.

Used around window trim. House was painted over a year ago. Surfaces were cleaned prior to painting. Applied tape to protect edges and removed immediately after painting. So disappointing!!

Hi there - we are sorry to hear that you had this paint tear when using FrogTape. When older paints lifts like this, it is an indication that it did not make a complete bond to the surface. Unfortunately, there are too many variables involved in how paint cures we can't say for sure why this happened. Please reach out to us directly for further assistance.
