Worked exactly how it was meant to work. They also include cardboard cut-outs for a sturdy bottom.

Quality control issue
Bottom support piece too long for cut-outs on file folder, has to be manually cut to fit. At least that's better than too short.

These hanging files would have been the perfect solution for storing more manila files neatly than each having their own hanging folder. The wide bottom is great and the support works very well.
The problem with these files is that the folder seam is a major weak point and even with a normal amount, for the size of the folder, of files it rips and there is no salvaging...

The expanded bottom is great on these files
I've always purchased the regular hanging files, but needed to be able to put multiple manilla files in each of the hanging files. These expanded bottom files are just the ticket. I did not realize they came without the tags, so be warned, you need to order them separately.

cardboard bottom pieces were too large
I had to trim each cardboard section that goes on the bottom of the file, with a paper cutter. The cardboard section must be smaller than three inches or you cannot fold the file on the scores. The cardboard provided was too large to fit.

Staples 3" hanging file folders
Don't waste your money...bought a box to try. These are the most flimsy, cheap hanging file folders I've ever seen! I'm staying with Pendaflex brand...

The bottom is reinforced, but the top is not. The hanging brackets tear right through the top when file is only partially full.
