Quality
Purchased before: closure was good.
This latest purchase: closure was very poor, seal would not hold, and had to put tape on the outside to ensure closure

Thinner and Cheaper Material
Ordered and product came, envelopes are made of a cheaper + thinner material. I compared it directly to an existing stock I still had from previous order.

Very Useful Envelopes
I purchased these envelopes to mail a 13-page document to members of an homeowners' association. The size was sufficient to hold the document, it was easy to stuff the envelopes, the address labels and stamps stuck well to the outside of the envelopes and they sealed very nicely. It was a good purchase.

Terrible Seal
Staples has recently changed the quality of the closure on these envelopes because I've never had any issues with the self-seal closure in the past. I had a large mailing to get out and ended up spending over an hour taping the faulty closure of 400 + envelopes. Very disappointed! Don't buy if you plan on mailing anything out securely!

Not like they used to be.
These aren't as thick as the old ones were. Not sure if the envelopes would fall apart during transportation even after using tape. I will not purchase these again in the future.

No longer seal
These envelopes used to be great. However the past few times I've purchased them, the envelopes will not seal. The "stickiness" when you peel off the strip to close the envelope is basically just for show now.

Terrible Quality
This item's quality has decreased every time I've ordered it. Initially it was fine, but last time, the sticky part was lacking and barely held onto the envelope. I had to secure it with tape for half of the envelopes. This time when I reordered, there wasn't any sticky part at all or barely any.
Very disappointing. The only redeeming feature was the price point.

Staples Kraft EasyClose Catalog Envelopes, 9" x 12", Brown, 250/box
I order these envelopes because of the self close feature, although the adhesive is not effective enough for me to feel assured that the envelope will go through the mail and stay closed, therefore I tape each and every one of them before placing in the mail. In the long run, my company is probably not saving money purchasing this item.

Great envelope
I recently used these envelopes for a 250 piece mailing. I loved them and so did the volunteer I had helping me with the mailing. They adhesive strip is a real time saver. I will definitely order and used them again.
