Masking tape is Horrible, it tears
Bought this tape last week and tried to use it today and can not get it off the roll no matter how easy and slowly I try, it just starts ripping/tearing from the get-go. Horrible.
This is the worst masking tape I've ever bought. Why would you ever make the glue stronger than the tape? It rips 100% of the time that I use it. It takes a long time to pull up the end and use it again. If I didn't already know of the Scotch brand, I'd think they just didn't know how to make tape. I'd say buy 3M but they own Scotch so I question their quality now too.

Scotch brand masking tape
I bought a roll of Scotch brand masking tape at Canadian Tire. It is the very first time I can honestly say I’m disappointed in a Scotch brand product…..I always thought Scotch was synonymous with quality. It tears, splits & leaves pieces on the roll. Not impressed

Poor Quality
This roll was purchased 2 weeks ago for $4.99 at Hobby Lobby which is a popular store in our area which sells items quickly. FIVE DOLLARS. I was excited to see that it was "name brand" and hoped it would separate off the roll easily and be used for labeling totes. NOPE!!!!
I didn't manage to get ONE piece off of the roll that didn't leave a tad of the tape on the roll...

Useless as tape. Useful as a paperweight
I bought this a month ago and I'm totally disappointed. It will not unroll without breaking off. It sticks to itself so hard it's almost impossible to unroll.
I tossed all 6 rolls in the trash it was so bad.
Not only would I not recommend this product to a friend, I would not recommend it to someone I dislike.

I have just bought and used the tape very little. I bought the combo because 3M has a good reputation. I have used one role, and can attest that it has great stickiness and strength. I will use it in my workshop and in my tracing of cephalometric radiographs. .

Terrible!! It would not tear properly kept partial tearing and ripping all kinds of ways!!! I got a new roll (it was a pack of several rolls) the new roll did exactly the same thing!!! I was very disappointed, usually scotch brand tape is wonderful!!!!

Not usable
Sometime in the past 3M must have changed to a thinner crepe paper for their masking tape. It is impossible to peel the tape off the role without it sticking. Other people are complaining about the same thing. It's not worth saving a few pennies on manufacturing if it makes the product worthless.

It seems like the quality is not what it used to be. Tearing pieces from the roll is not as easy as it used to be. But for the price, it is okay.
