Very solid paper cutter
I purchased this for my office to replace an old Corporate Express brand paper cutter that required a lot of finesse to use (ie. very fussy, difficult, caused lots of wasted paper). I purchased this based on reviews and am very glad I did. It's solid, cuts straight, and is easy to use. We are very happy!

Poor Quality - Not X-ACTO what I expected!
For an X-ACTO brand product, I expected a high-quality cutting edge. Instead, I received a product that actually made a worse cut than the 11-year-old machine I was replacing! Does not produce the straight edge I was hoping for
I bought the X-ACTO 18" Guillotine Trimmer to replace the one my school has been using for years. I was disappointed to find the cut paper was not as straight as I would like and actually produced a bit of a curve.

Useless
Doesn't open enough to get the paper by the guide. Paper guide doesn't stay still.... piece of complete junk. A cheaper one would be better than this one! Tried to use it repeatedly but just doesn't work. And of course my return time has expired

Cuts like butter.
So nice to finally have a cutter that I don’t have to fold my paper in half for an 18” piece of construction paper. It is lightweight and easy to stash in the cupboard to keep away from little fingers when not in use.

Very good quality cutter
At school we have tried 3 or 4 different cutters but non of them are as good as this one, it's very high quality compared to the other brands out there, plus you can fit A4 and A3 papers on it so that help students with their work. We really like it.

X-Acto 18 trimmer
I purchased an X-Acto Heavy Duty Paper Trimmer for the office to replace a rather old metal paper cutter and the X-Acto works so much better, cuts nice and easy without damaging the paper. Would recommend this cutter to other.
