I use mine a little differently.
I use this item as dividers in our Project Binders. I punch holes on the opposite side of the self-adhesives and use the adhesive tabs as my dividers tabs. The tabs that I don't need for that section, I adhesive down. Leaving the tab sticking up which I pull the cover off and attach my piece of paper that describes that section. They make wonderful dividers in that sens...

Smead® Self-Adhesive Folder Dividers.
They do a great job when you need extra documentation in a file, for a lot less than buying the larger press-board files. It saves money and file space in cabinets.

Adhesive dividers
I love the dividers for what we need them for but they are slightly too tall for a regular tabbed folder. We have to cut them down a bit

Wouldn't Buy Anything Else
We use these quite a bit it is extremely easy to use and it works very well. Material is strong and sturdy and adhesive is pretty good. This is the only adhesive dividers we will use.
