Really TUFF!
It's ridiculous that regular 2" green box bottom folders don't stand up to any weight at all. In my experience, almost 90% of them fail within a year or sooner. I'm using what it was intended for --papers (and NOT overstuffed or heavier than just normal paper!) Seems to be sturdy
I haven't used to many 2" hanging file folders to really compare these too. These seems to be well made and sturdy. Not sure how well they will hold up. Time will tell.

More Storage!

Oh no, my files are protruding up too high!... One day while reordering my supplies, low and behold expanded bottom hanging files. I have to try it. I love them! I can file one category in one section. I can just pull out the entire file and go with it. EXCELLENT!

Great for Overloaded Offices and Families!

Heavy Duty!
These are absolutely the best hanging folders. I do like and use many of the Smead filing products, but this is my favorite for drawers full of heavy folders. In a school district, we still keep a lot of paper files. These heavy duty box bottom expansion folders last and last and keep their shape. G

Great Folders
These are really nice and I love the cardboard insert for the bottom. The insert is really thick and will hold up well. I only wish these came in more colors. I was trying to color coordinate to make filing more pleasant...lol. However, the light grey color will go well with the pink folders I bought.

Awesome to hold the blue accounting files!
I work at a small accounting firm and we recently purchased file cabinets and are using these files to hold our blue accounting folders. These are much better quality than the Pendaflex files. They seem ok, but I was expecting more. I bought these to replace some that are wearing out. The folder seems to be no more heavy duty that what I had. The metal support rod might be a bit stronger though.

Best hanging folders ever used!
I've hated using hanging folders for years and have made every attempt to avoid them whenever possible. Hanging folders I've used in the past were problematic, i.e. hooks were weak and twist, the top edges would rip (and I'm talking about the well-known brands). Not with the Smead TUFF hanging folders! They're strong and, most interesting, they hold the manila folders...
