Subject notebooks are an important part of staying organized at school. By keeping all of your notes for each subject in one place, you can easily find what you need when you need it.
What are subject notebooks?
Subject notebooks are typically spiral bound and have pockets to hold handouts, worksheets, and other materials. They will often have tabs to help you keep track of different sections for each subject, or different units for a single subject. These tabs allow you to neatly label each section with the name of the topic or unit you are working on.
Using a single subject notebook for organization
Some students prefer to use a different notebook for each semester, while others find it helpful to use one notebook for all of their classes. A multi-subject notebook allows students to keep notes from prerequisite classes together so they can refer back to prior notes easily. Imagine how convenient it is to reference notes from Finance 101 while taking Finance 201. Or keep all of your notes from a given semester in one notebook for easy referencing back to a certain time period.
Using multiple subject notebooks for organization
On the other hand, having a single dedicated notebook for each class you take ensures that you won't miss anything important.
