Ink cartridges do not use all the ink.
I purchased an HP Officejet Pro 6830 May 5, 2016. The black ink cartridge that came with the printer quit after a short period of time but it still showed ink was available. HP original cartridges
I find it is worth using the original cartridges, as they seem dependable and have a good printing capacity, and priced reasonably, and you don't need to buy the XL's.

HP ink works well
I always buy genuine HP ink for my HP printer so that it continues to work flawlessly. The ink produces clear print that dries quickly and does not smudge. Good value also.

This order was easy to make, I could see exactly what I was ordering, included envelopes for recycling empty cartridges, competitive prices . I would much rather buy directly than run around town.
