Love the hands on Clocks!
We study time a lot in second grade.
The Magnetic Elapsed Time Set works to build a complete understanding of elapsed time. The 14 piece set includes: 2 clock faces with removable guide numbers, 4 piece timeline with color-coded am and pm hours, 2 hour and 2 minute hands, start and end labels, and an activity guide.

Great hands-on practice!
I used this product with my elapsed time unit and it really made a difference. It helped give the kids a visual that made this abstract concept more concrete. They also enjoyed having the hands-on practice, especially with the number/time line.

Not the best
This is a nice size. The hands are very difficult to move. It slides all over the board and is hard for the children to change the hours and minutes easily. Hard to use.

Excellent Teaching Tool
My nine year old daughter needed something a little more hands-on to help her grasp the concept of elapsed time. Lucky for us, Learning Resources had just the answer!

Great Visual Tool
This is a great colorful tool that makes elapsed time come alive to kids with special needs who have problems visualizing.

Great for Learning Lesson of Time Lapse!
Teaching a child to tell time on clock (with hands) can be one of the hardest skills for a child to master! I know my son gets really confused when I try to explain it to him because he can see the big numbers (1, 2, 3, etc) but they actually mean 5, 10, 15, etc.
Telling Elapsed Time is EVEN HARDER and you definitely need some good resources to help teach that to any ...

Quality Resource
This product is FANTASTIC!! The magnetic pieces are so well made and great for hands-on learning! I showed my 5 year old how to understand elapsed time with this resource and she totally got it! Teaching time can be such a difficult concept to master, but this resource has been so helpful!

Gets their attention
I added this to daily math instruction; easy to set up on white board, fun for the kids to see. I used it with an every day elapsed time problem using our daily schedule...how long until lunch from right now?..etc. It was engaging and I saw real progress. The separate magnetic timeline shows another strategy. My only reason for giving 4 and not 5 starts is that because ...

Great product!
My first graders loved this prodcut! It was a great tool to use whole group. The pieces are large enough for everyone to see. And, also great for little hands! Overall.. very happy with product!!
