Hi there Brad Getting a low-ink message this early is disappointing. I understand your sentiments completely. If there is a tactic to try it's to avoid color printing. Images use the most ink. Same is true for graphics and tables. Even pages with a lot of ink impact the ink levels. Printing many pages at once also contributes to clogs or dryness. Let us know if these tips make an impact. XL---I love it!

Excellent genuine HP quality ink cartridge.
I tried using some of the refilled cartridges in my printer, but either they don't print correctly or they only last a couple of months at best. I do not print a lot, but others in the house like to print things like recipes, trip reservations, etc. The HP cartridges last over a year, and always print high-quality pages.
