When your prints are high-density (such as images and graphs) they will use more ink especially if the paper is very absorbent and the air is dry. Here are some things that might help get the tricolor cartridges to last longer: - Use the printer's draft mode whenever possible to help stretch out both black and colored ink - When appropriate you can change the settings to print black only. then areas that would use color will print out in shades of gray - Shut the printer down between uses.
