Hi Shirley I am very sorry that the cartridge didn't work very long. That sounds frustrating. Perhaps you were printing denser printouts. Ink usage determines how long it lasts. High-density prints (such as images and graphs) will use more ink especially if the paper is highly absorbent and the surrounding air is dry. Here are some things that might help you get savings: - Most people have found that the XL version of the cartridges are a much better value - Make use of the printer's draft mode whenever possible to help stretch out the ink Mary HP Care hp.com/support

You Can't Go Wrong With HP
I've always bought HP ink but thought I would try a generic. Although it was the same number it did not fit in my machine. Alas the old saying you get what you pay for. I returned it bought HP printer ink and have been smiling ever since.
