Faster than my ethernet port
Had one port on mac mini out and one slow. Plug restored ethernet and to Gig speed.

Does what it’s designed to do
Now with teaching remote it’s totally vital to have a cable-secure internet connection. Wifi just isn’t reliable enough. I’ve had it for only a week. I’m sure it will perform fine and for a long while. My only gripe is the high price as will all the Apple accessories. I’d almost downgrade it another star for that reason.

Good product
Works great - i didn't know when I bought it that I needed to do more than just plug in! Make sure you get the internet connection sorted out before you need to use it - there are settings on the computer that need to be made in order for it to work. Otherwise you coud be scrambling when you should already be in your virtual meeting (like me!)

The catalog description of this item needs to be more specific. This adapter does not fit “all Macs with Thunderbolt.” Newer Macs have Thunderbolt “3” which is actually a USB-C style connector and which this device (which was said to fit all Macs with Thunderbolt) will NOT fit! I will have to reorder the correct adapter and bring this one into a Staples store for exchan...
