Manufacturer neglected to note that it's a Thunderbolt 2 while I needed a Thunderbolt 3

Works Great
I purchased the standard one prior to this one. This one by far is better. It has a snug fit and seems made better than some other aftermarkets I have purchased in the past.

Thunderbolt to Gigabit ethernet adapter
I purchased this to transfer files between an new macbook pro retina and an older macbook pro. The set up is simple the transfer rate is extremely fast and very pleased with the outcome. Highly recommended to have in your toolbelt for any Mac owner!

Apple does good with Thunderbolt gigabit
This product works perfect. If you're using some computer thunderbolt port chances are you having SSD with a 800 MB per second wright speed. This device will give you much faster Internet speeds than Wi-Fi. Of course this comes out having to be wired plugged in but Apple does not sacrifice in making this device thunderbolt. Perfect for MacBook Pro
I bought this adapter for connecting my new MacBook Pro to my test LAN. I do a lot of video streaming verification and have added the MacBook as a receiver for those tests. The Thunderbolt adapter gives me plenty of throughput with the hardwired gigabit ethernet speeds. I have no trouble connecting or viewing even my high-bitrate HD sources. Works well
I bought this to replace a USB 2.0 to Ethernet converter that didn't always communicate correctly with my newer MacBook Pro. The thunderbolt to Ethernet converter works well. I have had no problems.

Useful Adapter
Purchased this adapter so we could test the Apple laptops that didn't have the ethernet connection built into the units. Our tests require the units to be connected to an ethernet/internet connection that our server is on. This is a plug and play adapter and has a high speed connection.

Works as Advertised
Apple in all its wisdom wants smaller connectors for sleeker machines. We in the real world wind up with a sleek machine that has gobs of wires hanging off of it to connect to all the legacy peripheral machines we have to use. I love Mac but Jeez guys!

Simple/Easy works right out of the box
I bought this to upgrade my connection from "Ethernet to USB" to "Ethernet to FireWire". It's seemless. No software installation required. Just the cable. Opened the box. Took it out. Plugged it in. Done. Piece 'o cake.
