Prismacolor always delivers!
I purchased these pencils for my 8 year old grandson. He loves drawing, and wants to add shading. These are perfect for a beginning artist, and a very reasonable price point. He loves them.

Definitely, there is no need for pressure in the hand when drawing. Has a good secure grip and very easy flow. I highly recommend it. Excellent product, Staple's continue the sale with products as these. Thanks.

Good Pencils
I got this set because it came with a 6H . I think the quality is good for all manner of sketching and shading. I would not place them above Staedtler but they do apply well. What I don't like is the metal cap. When you sharpen this digs into your palm making it uncomfortable. Also they did not come sharpened so I did the whole set and by the time I was done my pal...

A wonderful set of drawing pencils
It's easy to find soft pencils, but hard ones are less common. This set has a complete range of pencils with hard leads: H, 2H, 3H, 4H, 5H, and 6H. I prefer to sketch in the 3H to 5H range so I was very glad to get these pencils.

They're good pencils to draw with, and the best part is if you don't like your drawing to smooth or to bold you can change it up by picking a smoother or bolder pencil.
