False advertising
The add was for two packages. I received one package with a tricolor cartridge and a black cartridge. I believe their add was misleading.

Defective cartridges
I have had 3 cartridges that ran out of in in a day without much use. I had to call Staples and complain. If you can get other cartridges do it!

Hi Jacqueline Are you doing a lot of printing? If not three cartridges are a lot to go through in one day. I apologize for the circumstances. I would check for a leak inside the printer. Take a look and see if anything is puncturing the cartridges. Another possibility is that these cartridges sat for a long time and went dry. Try cleaning the printhead. I searched for ink for my printer. This was the result. Without thinking I ordered it I should have known better since I have a laser printer. Of course this is the wrong part. I will need to return it and order the correct part.

Tri-color cartridge defective
The cyan ink in the tri-color cartridge that came with the printer did not print. The store would not replace it without returning entire printer. Keeping the printer but do not plan to buy ink from Staples.

Smaller cartridges are ideal if you seldom use printer. XL ink dries up too fast and is wasted. Keep stocking 64 small cartridges

Good quality but pricy.
Have used this printer for several years and have used roughly one cartridge set per year. Everybody complains about high ink prices but for minimal home use the annualized cost is not excessive.
