Hi Brenda I am sorry that the cartridge didn’t work well for you. Usually the XLs do last a lot longer. Perhaps you were printing more high-density prints lately. That could make a difference. How each individual cartridge will perform for you is determined by environmental conditions surrounding the printer and your own usage. High-density prints (like images and graphs) use more ink especially if the air is warm and dry. If you usually print a lot of photos or other high-density prints Instant Ink was designed for your needs.
