False advertising
The add was for two packages. I received one package with a tricolor cartridge and a black cartridge. I believe their add was misleading.

Outrageous Price‼️
It won’t let me click on 1 star. I am outraged at the price Staples charged for these HPcartridges. Staples has lost me as a longtime customer. These cartridges can be ordered online (not from Staples) for one fifth of the price.

Love printing photos
I love this printer. It is my first. I really don't need to print a lot of documents at all. My new hobby has been printing photos. I really am reaching out to all of my family members to send me photos to my email. I. really love this Envy Printer. I hope it gives me years of pleasure!

Problems with proprietary equipment

I am sorry to find that you had this problem. It is not necessarily an equipment problem.
Perhaps the contacts on the cartridge got smudged or are damaged so that it is not recognized by your printer. You can carefully polish the copper contacts on the cartridge (and the matching ones inside the printer) with some kind of lint-free material to get off fingerprints or dust.
