HP Instant Ink Printer
I am delighted with my 15-page plan print free for life HP printer. I don't print very much and my ink was always drying up. I have told many of my friends about this offer and I'm so happy I was able to get it before it went off sale. Question: did my month begin the first day I set my printer up?

Defective cartridges
I have had 3 cartridges that ran out of in in a day without much use. I had to call Staples and complain. If you can get other cartridges do it!

Are you doing a lot of printing? If not, three cartridges are a lot to go through in one day. I apologize for the circumstances. I would check for a leak inside the printer. Take a look and see if anything is puncturing the cartridges. Another possibility is that these cartridges sat for a long time and went dry. Try cleaning the printhead. I hope your subsequent cartridges are better.

Tri-color cartridge defective
The cyan ink in the tri-color cartridge that came with the printer did not print. The store would not replace it without returning entire printer. Keeping the printer, but do not plan to buy ink from Staples.

HP is a Dependable Brand

64XL/64 Black High Yield and Tei-Color Ink Cartrid
Color cartridage only lasted for seven 8 1/2” X 11” prints . The 9th print the colors had changed indicating the cartridge was done… also confirmed by the printer. I made an exchange on the Color cartridge and the same thing had occurred, getting one more print out of that cartridge. I went later that day and purchase a color cartridge (regular) and ran 23 prints to com...

It appears the color cartridge ran out. While each cartridge should last the same amount, usage causes differences. For example, if you printed five pages mostly in cyan, the cyan would run out faster. It also depends on the dryness of the cartridge of the room and the dried ink on the printhead.
