Hello David I am sorry you are unhappy with the product price. I cannot adjust the cost of the cartridges but I can guide getting the most ink out of each cartridge. Here are some great ideas. Use sleep mode on the printer. Turning off the printer avoid exposing the printhead of the cartridge to air. Use a wet cloth or soft material to clean off dirt dust or old ink gently. Consider XL cartridges or value packs. Print only when you are 100% sure the copy is correct. Print preview is a great tool to assist with this goal. Amanda HP Care www.hp.com/support/

They are usually reliable but they are too expensive. I haven't used it yet. My last pack had the blue run out and the stupid printer wouldn't print in black and white at least since the blue ran out. What a Rip off on the part of HP. They might as well give you the printer for free for the amount they charge for the ink.
