You get what you pay for
This is a replacement laptop because the first one malfunctioned within 3 days. Unfortunately for me this replacement computer has the same malfunction which occurred within 24 hours of getting it. The problem is the left mouse key sticks and resultantly I lose my place because it "hangs up" when depressed

Protection Plan
I usually don't buy the protection plan as it is usually at least half the cost of the computer itself. Being on a budget and having a computer die, brings me outside my budget. So, getting the computer and a 4-year protection plan for an affordable price was a real blessing.

Laptop protected for the next 4 years
I bought the 4 year plan on the recommendation of the Staples tech guy. Inflation is with us for the next several years and the price of laptops isn't going to go down. With Asurion I am guaranteed to have a working laptop for years. My Asurion plan covers my Asus laptop even though I installed Linux on it.

Was happy about the clearance price. Luke had tried to transfer data but couldn’t add all the apps. I am still unable to receive any mail. They had the laptop for three days because we were going out of town.
