The ink doesn't last long enough to be very useful
It didn't last nearly as long as expected/hopes. I think it was fewer than 50 colored pages before I got a low ink warning. The ones on the ink subscription purpose don't have this problem so this feels like an attempt to pressure you ibto using them. The non-xl size lasted maybe 16 pages. The XL was better but no where near the estimate.

Your review mentions color pages. The results you saw are directly linked to these results. Color cartridges are used quicker because pictures employ vast amounts of ink. If there is a leak, that would be another explanation. Check the print rollers for signs of a leak. You can turn off the printer during periods of non-use. That action saves the cartridges.
