Hello there Margo I am sorry you faced this quality issue. Let's see what I can do to fix it. If the cartridge is low on ink the color shows as lighter. Using the automatic maintenance function helps to invigorate the color. Another option is cleaning the print rollers in the printer. First of all copier print is about the most expensive liquid any of us use! Far more expensive than gas! I have notice that HP printers only work if you use HP ink and so they have us by the....you know what! That said it does work but runs out way too fast.

Dissatisfied to satisfied!
I recurved the ink in a timely manner, however, my black ink did not last long at all. I have signed up for Instant Ink and I'm sure I'll be satisfied with it.
