There are two scenarios here on the wrong ink you received. The first one is that the cartridge is compatible, but the printer isn't recognizing it. If that is the case, restart the printer and reinsert the cartridge. The other possibility is that you will need to do a return. Returns to HP are at www.hp.com/us-en/shop/cv/returnsandexchanges.
