Doesn't last very long for how expensive it is, and sometimes prints in a very odd color even though B&W was selected.

Hello Craig,
Printing in a different color is not routine, considering black and white ink is selected. I want to help you get to the bottom of this issue.
The first reason for this issue is that your printer is substituting the color because you are low on black ink. Check your printer settings to see if that color is selected instead of black ink.
As for the ink running out quickly, monitor the temperature and humidity this time of year. Printer shutdowns protect the cartridge from drying out.

The ink is great. When cartridges are full, the color and quality couldn’t be beat. Just wish I wasn’t prone to making so many copies - so they’d last longer.
