printer works like a brand X
I was sent a 67 cartridge pack and installed it. The colored one printed 4 pages and stopped printing in color and the black showed low ink after about 20 pages.

I recognize we missed your expectations here. I noticed you purchased the regular cartridge. Evaluate whether an XL cartridge makes sense, given that you need to print frequently for your book.
The other idea I had was to join the HP instant ink program. This program monitors ink levels from your printer and directly sends you new ones as needed. The program eliminates the frustration of running out of ink. Check it out at www.hp.com/us-en/shop/cv/instantink/.
