I love it because it has such brighter colors than what came with the printer. Even the black is much darker.

Garbage Ink Cartridges
I was able to print 5 pages (8.5"x11") in color before the color ink cartridge was empty using an HP photo printer. Ink does not last even close to as long as it says it does.

Hi Brett Photos are the culprit in this scenario. I understand your opinion as five pages is not a lot and you own a photo printer. A standard page would be filled with ink. Color ink is best as an addition to text and simple designs. Inspecting the printhead for dryness or clogs would not be a bad idea either. A warm cloth can eliminate old ink from the print head. Not impressed
I bought the ink January 19 it is February 8 I have printed a total of 59 pages and I am completely out of black ink and have to buy again yet the XL is supposed to yield up to 600 pages and I don’t print off pictures or anything extravagant. I print schedules for my staff! Not impressed that I run out of ink two weeks later after 59 pages

Only ones for me!
HP ink cartridges are the ONLY ones I will purchase from now on. I have tried purchasing other brands of ink cartridges from other suppliers and they disappoint me every time!.

Operating the printer via iPhone and iPad.
The printer does a good job producing sharp images. Operating it via computer or iPad is not so simple. I do better operating it hands on……on site. Appreciate the chat feature but it’s another bothersome detour to accomplishing my job. I’m not a computer guru so this printer may not have been the best choice for me. Got a discount coupon when I bought ink cartridges for $10:00 off next purchase. That was niece but the only problem is you are limited on what you can purchase. So the discount is useless in my opinion

Hi there,
There is no reason you should run out of ink so quickly, in theory. Did you print photos? Or a book chapter? Do you regularly print for work or school? Frequent printing can make the cartridges finish within days. If the printer was on for the entire two weeks, dried cartridges might be the cause. We suggest limiting the time the printer is both on and idle. Since this is a tri-color cartridge, print all text in black ink only to save ink. These two ideas should save significant amounts of ink.
