About the drying cartridge it is likely many different things at play. Monitor the dryness and humidity of the room as it impacts the cartridge. Turn off the printer to protect the cartridge from air exposure. Inspecting the cartridge and gently cleaning the copper contacts in the printhead assists with this issue. Hello John, It's a shame your cartridges are drying early. That scenario is a less than ideal situation for our products. To get full satisfaction from the product, I recommend the following modifications. - The page yields vary depending on the printer, habits, paper, and other factors. - To save ink, limit the time your printer is active. Turn off the printer, when possible. - Avoid printing lots of designs, graphics, images, or very text heavy pages. - Thick paper can use more ink as well. Best of luck with your future printing. Hi John, Dry cartridges lead to a lesser customer experience. I am sorry the product is not meeting your expectations. Cleaning the printhead gently solves this issue, but I do understand the inconvienance. I would suggest turning off the printer to "park" the cartridge from outside air and contaiminants. Monitoring the air temperature, humidity, and dryness will help limit environmental conditions causing the dried cartridges.
