Hi Morris I am sorry that you had this experience. It was sure to be disappointing. There are shortages of the cartridges in some areas due to our inability to get some materials needed to make them and an increase in online orders during the lockdowns. Supply hasn't been keeping up with demand. We are also experiencing shipping delays because the delivery companies are having a hard time keeping up with orders too. Hello Jeffrey I’m sorry that you had this happen. If I'm understanding the situation you got a message that indicates the cartridge you got is not authentic. It is possible that the printer is not getting a good connection with the cartridge and that is why it doesn't recognize it. The contacts on the cartridge might be smudged or damaged. Carefully polish the copper contacts on the cartridge (and the matching ones inside the printer) with lint-free material to get off fingerprints or dust. If that does not help the cartridge must be defective (or not authentic). Please consider returning it to the seller. Mary HP Care hp.com/support

Hello Kris My apologies for the confusion but the whole point of Instant Ink is that you should never have to buy regular cartridges. Your plan sends you all the ink you need to print the pages you have signed up for. Just login to the Instant Ink site to report any problems with your deliveries. To get your printer running properly you can contact us to help you out. The warranty for a new printer should ensure no charge for regular support service.
