I do not do much printing & I have been advised that I am low on several colors!
The generic brand of ink, the ink lasted so much longer.

Overpriced.
Overpriced. It doesn't matter if you never use the color cartridge, it will inform printer it's empty. # of pages printed is how the ink level is measured. Rip off...

Hi RB, I am sorry that you didn't get more printing done. I hope to help you get a better experience. There is a possibility that the maintenance routines caused part of this. The tiny inkjets that spray the ink onto the paper get clogged easily. It is necessary to spray a drop of ink through them occasionally to ensure that they stay clear. Also, even when a color doesn't seem to be used for printing, some are used kind of like primer paint occasionally, unless you set the printer to black only printing. Shutting the printer down between uses can result in some savings. However, always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That will let the printer 'park' so that the cartridges are protected from excess drying. If you feel that the poor page yield was caused by a defective cartridge, you have the option to return it to us. Replaced one cartridge with no problem. Have an issue with HP. When printing black empty status of other cartridges should not prevent printing.
