Good price for good new product
We already have Nest cameras so didn’t need the eye cameras, but the price for the hub was best around. I like other Wyze products and was comfortable dealing with the company.

Not Compatible with Wyze Products
This is not compatible with many Wyze products. It won't adjust the thermostat, will not view cameras, will not control locks. Otherwise, it's great.

Response from Staples :
Hi jesiman, thanks for bringing this up and we’re sorry to learn your Nest Hub (2nd gen) can’t control your Wyze smart home devices. You can control over 50,000 smart home devices including TVs, remote controls, lights, appliances, plugs, thermostats, and more using your Google Nest or Home speaker or display. To get started, you’ll first need to set up your device in the Google Home app. These links below might be helpful: - Control smart home devices using speakers and displays: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7073578 - Explore all the Google Assistant partners you can use to control things around your home with just your voice here: https://assistant.google.com/explore/i?intent=ControlAppliancesAndFixtures If you’re Google Assistant can’t control your smart home devices, check these things first: 1. Make sure that your Nest Hub and other smart devices are set up on the same Wi-Fi network. 2. Check if you’re using the same Google Account on your mobile device and in the Google Home app. - Open the Google Home app. - At the top right, tap your account. - Verify that the Google Account shown is the one linked to your Nest Hub. To switch accounts, tap another account or Add another account. 3. Make sure you’re in the same room as your Nest Hub. 4. Try to rename your device. 5. Open the Google Home app. 6. Tap your device and then at the top right corner, tap Settings > and then Device information > and then Device name. 7. Enter a new name for your device and then tap Save. Don’t include numbers, special characters, or room names. Avoid similar names (for example, "Table light left" and "Table light right"). Great sound. Lacking some features
My internet is not stable. I also turn off my router at night. So this hub is pretty unless without wifi. I was hoping for some offline features, like Bluetooth. I can't toggle the Bluetooth without internet. I also wish there were more gesture controls.

Love having this in my kitchen!
This has been a great addition to our kitchen. It works as a clock, speaker and I've even used it to watch cooking videos while cooking!I'll be purchasing more of these in the future!

Could be better
The layout and user interface and navigation gestures could be made so much simpler to use and navigate for everyone rather than just techy people. Seems to work ok, better than my Google home by far.

Not quite there
Overall I love the intelligence of GA. But It feels like this product was rushed to market. I think it would have been a smarter move, with all the FitBit people waiting with baited breath to see how you are going to incorporate FitBit into the Google Health stuff, to wait until there was some cohesiveness between it all — one app to handle ALL of it; FitBit, Nest sleep...

My Personal Assistant
The Nest hub is a helpful tool I used everyday. With the Nest Hub (2nd Gen) I am able to keep track of all my daily tasks. I am also able to control all of my media devices using the Google Assistant. I never miss out on reminders or next upcoming activities on my calendar. Whenever I need to search anything, stream a video, or listen to music the Google Assistant is al...

Replaced a google mini
I had a mini in my kitchen area and used it for many timers for cooking even multiple timers at once. I use this for the same thing as well as listening to music but put it in the living room adjacent to the open kitchen. The main reason was to replace a clock which was outdated. Too bad it's not more portable to use the screen for recipes in my kitchen as it is plugge...

Locks up a lot
Wherever I ask it to show me a live feed from one of my Nest cams it will work for a little while then lock up and the picture will freeze. I can talk to Google but the screen will either stay frozen or go black until I reset the power. Feels a little underpowered compared to first gen.

Hi Michael, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear of this issue that you have with your Nest Hub (2nd gen). Issues like this can be caused by several things like network connectivity or even the environment where your device is located. Performing a factory data reset on your Nest Hub (2nd gen) might clear up the device and help you improve your experience. Please see the steps on how to do it: - At the back of your Nest Hub (2nd gen), press and hold both volume buttons for about 10 seconds. - The Google Assistant will play a sound to confirm that the factory reset started. If the reset didn't fix this issue, we'd like to take a look at your Nest Hub (2nd gen) and help you in the best way possible. This little thing is amazing. Super easy setup; integration into my other services was a breeze. The display is nice, with the option of the photo frame or a large digital clock, which nicely changes from white to blue-free orange overnight. The speaker is more than enough for what I need. the sleep monitoring is surprisingly accurate. For my use, as a bedside clock wit...

Mhhh
All it really does is test speed of Wi-Fi. Really no control over points it isn’t a Wi-Fi point itself hasn’t made anything easier from migrating Wi-Fi settings to established Wi-Fi directive Waste of money in my opinion.
