Black regular cartridge
I’ve had issues with the black link cartridge drying up too quickly before being used. I’ve had to replace the black ink cartridge in order for my HP printer to print because of the bad cartridge.

Small, so doesn't;t take up much desk space
This printer is adequate, but if I had had an opportunity to actually see it in a store, I would have bought a larger one, more like my 2 previous HP computers. Also, at 83, and not being technologically savvy, I wish it came with an instruction book on how to print pictures, etc. Also, prints very slowly.

I think it will be very good. Purchased the HP black ink at same time and that is working like a charm. DO NOT ever purchase refurbished or remanufactured ink cartridges or any other brand of ink for an HP Printer. You will be wasting money and will never figure out why your printer is not working. HP XL65 Black Computer Ink
I recommend all HP inks and this order was for my daughter who lives 100 miles away. She will be taking some courses at Harrisburg Area Community College and will be doing a lot of typing on her computer for those courses.

I always purchase this ink cartridge and have no problem with it. So far this last time of purchase my printer rejected it/ went back to see if a new purchased helped - found out the printer still wouldn’t accept it. The colored ink no problem. I’ll have to come back to the store in Vestal and purchase another package of black ink.
