Black regular cartridge
I’ve had issues with the black link cartridge drying up too quickly before being used. I’ve had to replace the black ink cartridge in order for my HP printer to print because of the bad cartridge.

Man that helped me at Staples was perfect I had just walked in the door he immediately asked if there was anything he could do for me. Told him looking for ink took me over to area where ink was but not in stock. We then went over to computer he ordered it for me and received it the next day. I will always and make sure my friends shop at Staples.

I’m disgusted with the number of ink products for HP. HP printers should be manufactured requiring a single ink product to fit all of its printers.

Am NOT pleased with the output.
Received two hp 65XL Black ink cartridges. This size was supposed to give like LOTS of pages. I was lucky if I got 35 pages printed!

I'm really sorry that you didn't get more pages printed. It seems like an XL cartridge should have printed many more!
Unless it was damaged or defective, its usage usually determines how long a cartridge lasts. High-density prints (such as images and graphs) will run the cartridge out faster.
Here are some things that might help you get savings:
- Make use of the printer's draft mode whenever possible, to help stretch out black, and colored ink
- Shut the printer down between uses; however, always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That gives it time to ‘park’ so that the cartridges are protected from excessive drying.
- Consider getting Instant Ink. The subscription plans let you pay by the page. Check out the details at: instantink.com

Mixed review but it prints.
I've owned several (6 inkjets, 3 laser printers, 3 dot matrics, a daisey wheel, a high speed printer/copier) and the inkjets are not expensive to buy but they are expensive to operate. The cost of inkjet cartridges is exorbitant for all inkjets.
