Black regular cartridge
I’ve had issues with the black link cartridge drying up too quickly before being used. I’ve had to replace the black ink cartridge in order for my HP printer to print because of the bad cartridge.

Hi there,
Black spots and lines are not expected results. I can understand your disappointment. Two quick steps can have a huge influence. First, clean up the print rollers. These rollers make many markings you see if they have ink on them. Run a test print page. Next, clean the cartridge with a damp cloth. Pay attention to the printhead. Let us know how it goes.

Need their cartridges to print anything on theirs
While it is the best, HP made it so you can only use their replacement cartridges on their printers, so how do you like that? There are 3rd party cartridges available, but if you can get them to work, that's a chance you take.
