Black regular cartridge
I’ve had issues with the black link cartridge drying up too quickly before being used. I’ve had to replace the black ink cartridge in order for my HP printer to print because of the bad cartridge.

I hear your feedback. Your input is valued. I would like to help you accomplish more pages. A month is not that long of a time unless you are printing a hundred pages or more a week. I notice you are not using the XL cartridges. Have you tried them? Another way to have continuous ink is the instant ink program. This program sends you ink before you run out. Go to www.hp.com/us-en/shop/cv/instantink/. Other great ideas include employing print preview and printing in black ink to save on the color cartridges.

claims to print up to 120 pages
Printer tells me the ink cartridge is half full. Print prints out black pages. So now I have to buy a new ink cartridge. Doubt very much that it prints up to 120 pages.

Not what I needed
I have been dealing with HP. When I read the fine print with HP the cartridges stop working when you cancel your membership. At now $4.24/month (I have received 2 cartridges in 4 years!) it is time to cancel that membership. The HP Instant Ink cartridge in my printer said 65/304 so I ordered 65. Doesn’t last long
Ran out of ink in two days. Just bought it and installed it. Two days later it says ink low again and can’t finish my job.

It sounds like you received a defective cartridge. Two days would be a very unusual amount of time unless you printed vast amounts. The other potential cause is a leak in the printer. Always insert the cartridges carefully. If there is a leak in the printer, don't continue to use the cartridge. Not enough ink.
Poorer quality than 25 years ago. I wonder why these cartridges do not last as long as those I purchased for my first HP printer.

Not good enough.
I'm disappointed that these cartridges don't hold nearly the amount of ink as those that I bought for my very first printer in the late 90s. And they sometimes cost more than buying them locally.
